AUSTIN (KXAN) - The University of Texas' new social media collaborative met Tuesday to discuss strategy across the university's various departments, from the Harry Ransom Center to the McCombs School of Business.
The full-day symposium kicked off with an overview of UT's social media framework. that was followed by discussion of effective social media strategies; a session on what's hot in social media platforms; a case study of the Ransom Center's Poe digital exhibit; and best practices for Facebook.
The day ended with a networking opportunity and a brainstorming session to talk about how to work across UT when it comes to the use of social media.
