Dripping Springs traffic tie-up fixed

DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas (KXAN) - It took a week after classes started, but the Texas Department of Transportation has finally cleared up a troubling traffic light issue near Dripping Springs Elementary .

The problem was parents were picking up and dropping off their children. However, then couldn't get out of the parking lot because the light wouldn't stay green long enough.

Last week, sheriff's deputies directed traffic.

And Tuesday, a TxDOT engineer showed up to manually operate the light, and work out timing issues with traffic trying to get onto Ranch Road 12.
