AUSTIN (KXAN) - Exhibits at the DPS Museum will include patrol boats, helicopters, motorcycles, SWAT cars and crime lab vehicles as apart of Austin Museum day on September 23.
The museum will highlight the history of the department and current equipment being used.
Patrol boats assigned to the Texas Coast and Rio Grande River equipped with multiple machine guns will also be on display.
The DPS Historical Museum and Research Center is located at 5805 N. Lamar Blvd.
The event is free and open to the public from noon until 5 p.m.
