AUSTIN (KXAN) - An Austin woman is in the Travis County jail accused of popping out another woman's eyeball on Saturday afternoon.
According to Austin police, Talicia Morrison, 20, damaged the victim's eye during a fight in the 200 block of Northcrest Circle. When officers arrived, the victim was screaming in pain but Morrison had already left.
The victim told officers that during the fight, Morrison grabbed her face, grabbed her eye and "dug her fingers up in there," which caused the eyeball to come out of the socket.
According the arrest affidavit, when police were able to bring Morrison in for questioning, she admitted to being involved in the fight and she had couple of broken fingernails as a result of the fight.
The victim was transported to the hospital where doctors were able to place her eyeball back into the socket, but the extent of the damage is not known.
Morrison has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; her bond is set at $70,000.
