AUSTIN (KXAN) - Police say Roderick Wayne Robinson, 43, attacked a female neighbor he was seeking an intimate relationship after she rejected his advances.

A court affidavit states that when the woman rebuffed his advances Saturday outside her east Austin apartment, Robinson overpowered her, shoved her into her apartment and then both crashed into her fish tank.

As the woman yelled to be let go, Robinson pinned her to the floor with his knee and pulled out a knife, the arrest affidavit states.

Police say Robinson began cutting the woman with the knife and then stabbed her in her shoulder.

They continued to struggle and ended up back on the porch, police said.

An arrest affidavit said the woman grabbed a mop handle as a weapon, ran to her neighbor's home for help and Robinson took off in a green van.

Police later located Robinson and the green van.

The woman was taken to an area hospital where she had to get 18 stitches behind her left ear and three stitches to her left hand.

She had multiple lacerations to the back of her head and face and a puncture wound to her shoulder.

Robinson is now facing a felony burglary of a habitation with intent to commit aggravated assault charge.

He is being held on $100,000 bond.
