Vehicle hits, kills pedestrian

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin Police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident that occurred Saturday evening in northeast Austin.

Shortly before 7 p.m. a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of E. Rundberg Ln and Dessau Rd. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Police later found the driver and arrested them.

The pedestrian died on scene. Police have not yet released the name of the victim or the driver.

No other details are available at this time according to APD.
