(KXAN) - Road rage case leads to arrest

A road rage incident off of U.S. Highway 183 leads to police arresting Salome Ramirez-Benitez, 26. Authorities charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police said at about 8 p.m. on Sunday, a woman called 911 saying a man had repeatedly hit her car and tried to "spin them out." When police came to 6200 Loyola Lane, they met the victim who had followed the suspect and called police.

The victim told police she was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 183 and approached 51st Street when Ramirez-Benitez started honking at her. She told police she pulled up to a red light on East 51st Street and Ramirez-Benitez hit her car from behind. She pulled up a little bit and she said he again hit her car. The victim told police Ramirez-Benitez exited the car and started yelling at her.

She drove off, but she said he caught up to her as she was traveling 35 to 40 mph and rammed her car from the side, according to police. She said she then stopped at a light, but Ramirez-Benitez backed his car into hers again.

Cleaning lady catches burglars

A cleaning lady called police after catching burglars trying to break into a home off of Bowerton Drive on Monday.

Police said at about 10 a.m. on Monday, the woman called 911 and said three men had approached her claiming to be friends of the owner and wanting to come inside.

When police arrived on the scene, they saw the back door had been kicked in. Police said they found Ryan Joshua Calhoun, 21, inside with a white garbage bag with the homeowner's belongings inside.

Improper photography lands man in jail

A man accused of taking a woman's picture without her consent was arrested.

According to police reports, David Kyle Hawkins, 43, used his iPhone to take pictures underneath a woman's skirt.

Reportedly, a friend was looking at Hawkins' phone when he saw the pictures. The friend said the picture depicted a woman wearing a brown skirt and wearing dark underwear. He said the photo appeared to have been taken from close to the ground level pointing up, since ceiling tiles were visible.

When Hawkins was questioned by police, he said the picture was of this friend. The woman later confirmed it was her in the picture, but that Hawkins did not have her permission to take it. She said she was deeply offended by Hawkins' actions.

Hawkins faces improper photography charges.
