AUSTIN (KXAN) - An 18-year-old gets seven years probation for a shooting near a school.

Former Austin High School student Jay Carbullido was sentenced late Thursday night in the 331st District Court.

Carbullido was found guilty of aggravated assault earlier this week for a November 2009 shooting where he shot at a carload of students near the Austin High School campus. Nobody was injured in the incident.

Carbullido has been in jail since November and will remain in custody for another three months before the probation begins.

Carbullido turned himself in to police shortly after the shooting.
