AUSTIN (KXAN) - Flowers, balloons, pictures and notes sit at the intersection of Bridle Path and Exposition Boulevard to honor 30-year-old Courtney Griffin.
Friends and co-workers planned a memorial service at the site Monday afternoon.
Griffin worked at Austin Pets Alive! and Lake Austin Blvd. Animal Hospital.
"I, and many other friends, children and animals, miss Courtney," said Robert L. Spitz, owner of Lake Austin Blvd. Animal Hospital. "She had an infectious, unequalled smile and a unembarrassed laugh. She hugged and didn't let go. She, like Saint Francis, took care of children and animals."
Meanwhile, police are still investigating and have no new information Monday.
Gabrielle Nestande, 23, has been charged with failure to stop and render aid in the accident that killed Griffin. Police arrested the Capitol aide at work Friday afternoon.
She was released from jail on a $35,000 bond.
