Soldier stabbed to death at a party

KILLEEN, Texas (KXAN) - Killeen police are investigating the stabbing death of a 20-year-old soldier.

Officers responded to a 911 call early Sunday  and found Spc. David L. Middlebrooks with a stab wound in his chest.

Police said Middlebrooks was at a party when he was involved in a "disturbance."

Witnesses told police the suspect left the scene, who police later identified as Donnie Kenneth Stevens Jr.

Stevens faces a murder charge and is in jail with a $1 million bond.
