AUSTIN (KXAN) – The convicted rapist who fled from his trial in Caldwell County last week in Lockhart was arrested without incident in San Antonio Thursday by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
Pedro Javier Quintero of San Marcos was still at large when he was found guilty verdict and sentenced to a 48-year state prison term.
Quintero, 22, was charged along with three other defendants for his role in a 2009 aggravated sexual assault of a 15-year old female in rural Hays County.
Information developed by task force investigators determined Quintero fled to the San Antonio area and was staying with individuals. Task force officers converged in the 400 block of Heimer Road in northern San Antonio and apprehended Quintero.
