AUSTIN (KXAN) - The search for a bank robber is underway after a central Austin bank was held up on Saturday.
According to Austin Police, the males suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank at 3212 Red River St. at 12:14 p.m.
Witnesses say that the man did not present a weapon as he demanded cash from a teller.
The robbery suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.
No injuries were reported among the customers and employees who were inside the bank at the time. Police did not note how many people were inside.
The suspect is described as a white male with a thin to skinny build.
He is approximately 5’11-6’1 in height with short light-brown hair.
Police noted that he is unshaven, possibly a few days of growth.
Individuals in the bank said that the suspect was wearing a ‘Volcom Diamond’ shirt.
This marks Austin's 20th bank robbery of the year.
