AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police will be talking with University of Texas-area businesses about ongoing crime and safety concerns.

A Tuesday afternoon meeting at Newman Hall of the Saint Austin Catholic Church on Guadalupe targets crime awareness in the area.

While this is the monthly meeting of university-area business partners, it is the first since the murder of Esme Barrera on New Year's Day.

The North Campus-area killing has prompted safety concerns from many neighbors.

Meanwhile, a suspect has not been arrested.
