FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - A closer look at a truck's radiator in Fayette County turned up $500,000 worth of cocaine in a secret compartment.
After a traffic stop on Interstate 10 Friday afternoon, police arrested Marciano Moreno, 43, and Maria Moreno, 53, and took them to Colorado County Jail on possession charges.
A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper stopped the truck and noticed during the search that the radiator looked suspicious.
That's when Fayette County’s K-9 Deputy Lobos was called out, and he sniffed out the alleged cocaine in the radiator.
The truck was then taken back to the Weimar Police Department, where police removed the radiator and found about 10 kilos of cocaine in a secret compartment.
