One woman dead, homicide unit on scene
Woman was found dead inside South Austin apartment

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police found a dead woman inside an apartment, after responding to a welfare call.
The call came in just after noon. APD's homicide is now taking over the investigation.
The apartment is located on the Southwest part of town, along West William Cannon Drive between 290 and Southwest Parkway.
Police are calling the death suspicious and are asking for any tips. You can call them at 512-477-3588.
APD is not releasing the woman's name at this time and are working to notify her family. KXAN will update you as more information is available.
