AUSTIN (KXAN) - One of the people participating in the Occupy Austin movement at City Hall was arrested last week on charges that he threw a full can of soda at police during the effort to disband the group.
According to an arrest affidavit released Monday, 20-year-old Michael Jordan Walsh hurled a full can of Dr. B soda on "a high arc" toward a line of uniformed officers on Friday night.
One of the officers had to duck to avoid being hit with the object, the affidavit said.
The person who officers said threw can ran off. But officers gave chase and apprehended Walsh based on a description of how he looked at what he was wearing.
He is charged with attempted assault on a peace officer, which is a state jail felony. Bail was set a $4,000.
