MANOR, Texas (KXAN) - 17 year old student Chancellor Terrell Buie is charged with Assault of a Public Servant after an alleged assault on an assistant principal.

The Manor High School student is facing a felony charge for assaulting Vernon Rogers on November 11.

The school received information that Buie may have drugs in his possession on campus. When Buie was approached by the school's administration, he used profanities and became aggressive. The assistant principal gave him verbal directives to settle down. At this point the student pushed the assistant principal and hit the man with an industrial sized paper towel roll.

Upon a search, Buie was found to not have anything illegal in his possession.

Buie said he reacted violently because he was scared.
