BURNET COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - A cold case finally solved. Friday, Travis Marberger pleaded guilty to a 2002 boating accident that left a Lampasas teenager dead.

Justin Roberts was killed in the crash. Two of his friends were hurt.

Investigators tried for 8 years to solve the case, but couldn't find the boat -- that was until a tip led police to Travis Marberger. They found the boat buried on his land in Bertram.

Marberger will pay a 15-hundred dollar fine and serve 100 days in jail. After that, he'll be on probation for the next 10 years.
