AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police have arrested Jason Sibley, 30, and charged him with sexual assault of a woman who he met at a club one night.
According to the arrest affidavit, the incident happened on Feb. 2 at Mojoes Bar and Grill off North Interstate 35. The victim reportedly stepped outside of the club for fresh air, when she was approached by Sibley. The woman told police she danced with Sibley earlier that night.
Sibley reportedly forced her to a secluded area behind the club that was not visible to the public parking area. She told police that he was forced to her hands and knees and Sibley began to sexually assault her, using his arm to pin her down.
He then forced her flat to the ground and resumed his assault, when she said security suddenly arrived. Sibley fled the scene.
Police interviewed a witness, who told them about strange noises nearby, possibly from a woman. The witness notified security, police said.
Afterward the witness, who police said knew Sibley for about 10 years, reportedly ran to a back door that led to the enclosed area, when he saw Sibley assaulting the woman.
The clothes that the witness said Sibley was wearing matched those seen on security video of Sibley entering the club, police said.
Sibley's bail was set at $300,000.
