Janitor love triangle turns dangerous

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A University of Texas janitor is accused of ramming her car into her fiance's car, accusing him of an affair.

Police said Sara Contreras, 42 heard a rumor that her fiance was having an affair with their co-worker. Contreras, her fiance and the other woman all work at UT.

Contreras said her fiance denied the allegations and even suggested she try and catch him in the act. So after repeated calls and no answer, Contreras went looking for her fiance. She drove to the 8000 block of Decker Lane, which is where the woman lived. When she got there, he was not at her place, so she decided to wait.

About 30 minutes later, she saw both of them pull up in her fiance's car. Contreras said at that point, she decided to follow her fiance and ram his car with hers. As he parked, she plowed her car into the back of his, damaging the rear and left side. No one was hurt.

Contreras faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge and an emergency protection order.
