AUSTIN (KXAN) - Undercover police officers say Juan Carlos Pedraza, 20, tried to sell them six trucks that were all reported stolen between July 11-15.

A court affidavit states that Pedraza was placed under surveillance and found retrieving the vehicles from around Austin and taking them to a Wal Mart on Norwood Park Boulevard.

This was the agreed upon delivery spot, police said.

Pedraza was working alone and it took him two hours to deliver all the cars, the affidavit states.

Police said the trucks Pedraza tried to sell them were as follow:

  • Gray/Tan 2005 Ford "Dualie" Pickup
  • Gold2001  Ford "Crew Cab" Pickup
  • Maroon 2007 Ford F-350 "Crew Cab"
  • Sliver 2001 Ford XCab Pickup
  • Green/Tan 1999 Ford F350
  • Red 2000 Ford F250

Police said they arrested Pedraza when he delivered the sixth car.

According the arrest affidavit, Pedraza admitted he was a "transporter" and was to deliver the cars for personal financial gain.

Pedraza also admitted to knowing the cars were stolen and told police he stole at least one of the trucks, the affidavit goes on to states.

Police estimate all six cars were worth a total of $77,850.

Pedraza is facing felony third degree theft charges.

He is being held on $80,000 bond.
