AUSTIN (KXAN) - A carnival employee is accused of inappropriately touching a teenage boy while staying at a friend's home in Austin.

According to police reports, Arturo Hernandez Jr., 43, arrived in Austin last week to stay with friends. The friend told police Hernandez was going to work at the carnival.

One of the adults in the home said she discovered Hernandez in bed with her 13-year-old son. The alleged victim cried and left the room.

The victim told his mother he was asleep when Hernandez got into his bed and told him to move over. The victim said he thought the two of them were just going to go to sleep. However, Hernandez allegedly began fondling him and asking him disturbing questions. The victim said he was scared and tried to turn away, but Hernandez grabbed him by the shoulders and turned him around. He said Hernandez started kissing and grabbing him. The victim said he even tried to shield his own private parts to keep Hernandez from touching them, but Hernandez pulled his hands away.

When police arrived on the scene, Hernandez gave them a phony name. According to police, Hernandez had several different carnival ID cards in his possession. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he was fingerprinted and positively identified as the man involved in the crime.
