AUSTIN (KXAN) - A 49-year-old woman installed a surveillance camera when she suspects her neighbor of stealing items from her home. She watched the video and said she saw her neighbor crawling in her doggie door and taking random items.

Since 2007, the woman has noticed sporadic things would go missing from her house - jewelry, a bag with her birth certificate in it, money, a camera, etc. The woman suspected her neighbor, later identified as James Gibson, as the person who might be stealing the items.

So, the woman installed a security camera in her home. She watched the tapes and allegedly saw Gibson sneaking into her home through her doggie door on many occasions. On one occasion, the woman said she watched Gibson "shoving something down the front of his pants just before exiting."

The woman was unsure what exact day the robberies took place however she knew that it was after Nov. 21, 2009 because "her dog had died on that date and the dog was not on the video."

Gibson is in custody and is charged with burglary of a residence, a second-degree felony.
