AUSTIN (KXAN) - Despite new DNA evidence in the Yogurt Shop murders case, the trials of Michael Scott and Robert Springsteen appear to be moving forward. Both men are being retried for the murders of four teenage girls at the "I Can't Believe it's Yogurt Shop" back in 1991. Protesters gathered outside the Travis County Justice Complex in anticipation of Wednesday's hearing, hoping charges against the men might be dismissed.

New DNA testing has revealed DNA of an unknown man found on three of the four victims that does not match Springsteen or Scott. Defense attorneys are requesting the charges be dropped, but Judge Mike Lynch is requesting more time to review their motions. Family members of the defendants said they have been wrongly imprisoned long enough.

Meanwhile, two new attorneys from New York are requesting to join Michael's Scott's defense team. Judge Lynch is considering that request as well. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for March 4.
