Teacher solicited minor via Facebook

ROUND ROCK (KXAN) - A former Round Rock teacher is charged with online solicitation of a child. Austin police said that Joe Wayne Gilbreth started a relationship with a 16-year-old male student at Westwood High School on Facebook.

Gilbreth was a former color guard director at Westwood High School. According to court papers, he remembered the student and contacted him online. Then, the two started having chats that turned very sexual.

They went from talking online to talking on the phone. A few days later, the student turned Gilbreth in to the police. Gilbreth was most recently employed at Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Texas.
