HOUSTON (AP) - A man who was speeding away from authorities struck a concrete wall and jumped to his death off a Houston highway exit ramp.
Other drivers witnessed the incident Sunday morning. Officials did not identify the man but said he was under 30 years old and was driving a white BMW.
A Harris County deputy stopped the man for speeding around 10 a.m. after he entered a toll road. Authorities said the man sped off, and the deputy followed him to the southbound exit ramp to Interstate 45.
Officials said the man's vehicle struck a concrete retaining wall before the suspect jumped over the structure as the deputy got closer.
