AUSTIN (KXAN) - A former Austin police officer convicted of a drug charge is scheduled for sentencing Thursday.
Scott Michael Lando is suspected of even more.
A jury convictged him Aug. 17 of delivery of a controlled substance . He also faced charges of aggravated assault and of hiring a prostitute while he was on duty.
During Lando's trial, the jury looked like it would not reach a decision after hearing testimony for several days.
At one point jurors told the judge they were deadlocked at 10-2, but the judge asked them to work for one more hour. After doing so, jurors found agreement on the drug charge and convicted him.
Other charges could still be pending.
