AUSTIN - Around 3 a.m. Wednesday firefighters were called out to a fully involved structure fire in Southeast Austin. The building fire happened at 10208 Shively Lane.
Travis County Fire and Rescue along with the Austin Fire Department responded. When they arrived they found a residential fire with heavy fire in the rear of the home, which turned out to be a bedroom.
Eight fire trucks and nearly 30 firefighters worked to put out the blaze. It took them less than an hour before the fire was out. There were 3 family members inside the home and all were able to get out unharmed.
The cause is still under investigation.
