AUSTIN (KXAN) - Both candidates running for Texas governor boast spending and tax cuts, but it's a candidate that's dropped out of the race that's already making big cuts -- big haircuts, that is.

Former gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman got a chance to clip away at Gov. Rick Perry and Bill White, but the event wasn't to give Friedman another chance to cut them down to size. It was to tout "Cow Wow."

" Cow Wow " is a new liquid compost product that is reused waste product from dairy farms.

"When they first called me I thought this was a whole lot of BS, you know, and turns out it is a lot of BS. It's liquid compost," said Friedman.

The six-foot terra-cotta busts of both candidates were treated with "Cow Wow."

The company said all-natural fertilizer helps save water, landfill space and creates an all natural-fertilizer that feeds soil and helps plant growth.
