AUSTIN (KXAN) - A wreck involving two 18-wheelers along Interstate 35 heading south had two people pinned and also led to a fuel spill in South Austin.
The crash happened near Ben White Boulevard late Monday night, when police closed the interstate while they investigated.
Austin police said the wreck pinned two people who had to be rescued.
One truck driver suffered a broken leg, and the passenger in that semitruck had minor injuries as well.
Meanwhile, the other truck driver was not hurt.
There was also a significant diesel spill because of the wreck, but a hazardous materials team cleaned it up in just a few hours. The road reopened to traffic at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
