AUSTIN (KXAN) - Leonard Charles "Ivan" Soliz -- the father of a 5-year-old boy found dead almost two weeks ago -- was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly violating probation, sheriff's officials said.
Travis County Sheriff's Office spokesman Roger Wade said Soliz had been taken into custody on a motion to revoke his probation. Soliz was on probation on charges of burglary and assault causing bodily injury. Judge Bob Perkins made the ruling.
According to the court, the motion to revoke probation was issued March 18. It was based on a failure to pass a drug test, failure to complete community service and failure to pay court fees. Soliz tested positive for cocaine on March 5.
Julian Soliz, 5, was reported missing in the early hours of April 10 and his body was found alongside Wells Branch Parkway a few hours later.
While the death was ruled suspicious, no arrests have been made in the case.
