BASTROP COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - Residents who live near Camp Swift and use private well water are advised to boil their water until further notice.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Lower Colorado River Authority said 60,000 gallons of wastewater was accidentally discharged from its system at 1641 N. State Highway 95 in Bastrop County.

Residents with private wells within one-half mile of that location are advised to boil their water for two minutes before consuming.

The water was contained to a dry creek bed and crews are currently cleaning up the discharge.

No wastewater service has been interrupted because of the leak.

The  Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has been notified.
