Asking advice on how to develop and pay for it

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Travis County wants to build a new civil and family courthouse downtown, and officials are asking for advice on how to develop and pay for it.

The spot they're considering is at 308 Guadalupe St., just south of Republic Square Park.

They want it to be close to the current justice complex and big enough to adjust to the growing city.

Last night the county hosted the first of two public meetings to hear from the project's consultant and discuss financing options.

The next meeting is Feb. 1.
