AUSTIN (KXAN) - One person was stabbed outside of a UT fraternity house early Thursday morning.

Austin Police Sergeant Richard Stresing said there was a fight at the Zeta Psi frat house around 2 a.m. Thursday that spilled out into the street.

Police said Austin Rhoads, 21, stabbed an unidentified man in the stomach during that fight and fled the scene with a friend. Others at the frat house called 911.

Police were able to quickly locate Rhoads near Guadalupe and 34th streets where he was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His friend who was still in the car was not arrested.

Zeta Psi members confirmed Rhoads is not a member of the fraternity. They could not confirm whether the victim was a fraternity member.

The man that was stabbed was rushed to a local hospital. Police said his injuries are not life-threatening.
