Devoe incompetent to stand trial

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Accused murderer Paul Devoe has been declared mentally incompetent to stand trial, according to a KXAN source.

Devoe, 45, is accused of killing five people in Texas -- one in Marble Falls and four in Jonestown -- as well as a woman in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Devoe has been examined by doctors from the defense and the prosecution.

Both sides found Devoe so mentally incapacitated that he would be unable to stand trial. If Devoe recovers, with medication and treatment, he will be expected to stand trial for the murders.
