AUSTIN (KXAN) - Top leaders in the music industry are directing a music video in Austin. Several local students are helping them. It is all part of the Austin School of Film's special workshop.

The Austin band Ringo Deathstarr is rocking out. Cameras are capturing all the action.

"Just trying to get a nice garden type vibe," said Mark "Frosty" McNeill, President of dublab.com.

Leaders in the music industry are directing the band's music video.

"It's surprising to know some of those major people are gonna be here," said Austin School of Film student Camille Weizenbaum.

These lucky students are watching and learning from the best.

"It's really exciting," said Weizenbaum. "I haven't had any film experience, so it's nice to see how everything works."

Mark McNeill, President of LA-based web radio collective dublab.com, loves working with new students.

"People without the experience come up with the most original, spontaneous visions," said McNeill.

Bryan Younce, Vice President of Video and Content Production at Columbia Records, believes if students have the passion and dedication, the possibilites are endless.

"There's so much really great, exciting talent from the most random places in the world, because technology is at a place where young filmmakers can seize on the opportunities," said Younce.
