COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - One man is dead and two others are injured from an accident on U.S. 95 involving four semis and two smaller vehicles.

Idaho State Police say a car driven by Zachary B. Henager of Temple, Texas, went out of control at 8:40 a.m. Saturday about 40 miles north of Coeur D'Alene.

Police say Henager's car hit a semi driven by 58-year-old Richard D. Walston of Colville, Wash. Walston's truck then collided head-on with a semi operated by 49-year-old James M. Mady of Creswell, Ore.

Meanwhile, a third tractor-trailer swerved to avoid the crash and hit a fourth semi. And a man in a SUV carrying a passenger swerved to avoid the accident and went into a ditch.

Police say Mady was killed, while Henager and Walston were hospitalized with injuries. No one else was hurt.

The roadway was blocked for more than 11 hours following the crash.
