ROUND ROCK - The Westlake baseball team used a late rally to beat San Antonio Reagan 4-3 and advance to the UIL state tournament.

Down 3-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning at the Dell Diamond Saturday, Westlake got the hit they had been looking for.  Miles Hansen hit a single up the middle to drive home two runs, tying the game 3-3 and sending Game-2 of their regional final into extra innings.

The Chaps broke through again in the ninth inning.  Junior Miles Hanson made contact in the bottom of the ninth inning.  The ball trickled past a diving second baseman to score the game-winning run.

Westlake beat Reagan 1-0 in San Antonio on Friday night.  They advance to their first state tournament since 1998.  The 5A semi-finals start Friday, June 12 at the Dell Diamond.
