ROUND ROCK, Tex. - El Paso Socorro spoiled Westlake's return to the state baseball tournament.  The Bulldogs beat the Chaps 11-3 at the Dell Diamond Friday in the 5A semi-finals.

Socorro jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 2nd inning when Aaron Olivas singled to leftfield scoring Ivan Sigala.

Westlake caught a break in the top of the 3rd.  Joseph Trahan hit a ball into centerfield, misplayed by Cory Falvey.  Jon Darilek and Chandler Geller scored on the play cutting Socorro's lead to 3-2.  Colin Shaw followed with a fielder's choice scoring Miles Hanson to tie the game.

But, the Bulldogs got a big 4th inning.  Falvey's three-run homer highlighted a five-run rally to take a commanding lead.  Socorro advances to play Lufkin in the 5A finals Saturday at noon at the Dell Diamond.
