EAST AUSTIN - No one understands hard work like the Texas Longhorns lineman. That's why they partnered with Habitat for Humanity Saturday to rebuild a home in East Austin.
The renovation was part of a three-week program called "A Brush With Kindness", which will target more homes in the area.
Senior offensive lineman Adam Ulatoski decided to get his teammates involved.
"We feel like it's good to give back whenever we have the chance," said Ulatoski. "In the summer we have a little bit more time, and we feel like it's great to take this opportunity to do that."
"It is kind of funny seeing six or seven 300-pound guys up on a roof trying to balance up there," said senior lineman Charlie Tanner. "It's been a lot of fun. One thing I've never been able to do before is shingle a roof. I've never even used a nail gun. So, today I've experienced a bunch of new stuff."
Other Longhorn players working on the project include Kheeston Randall, David Snow, Michael Huey, Steve Moore, Mason Walters, and Paden Kelley.
