AUSTIN (KXAN) - Albert 'Leslie' Cochran has been upgraded to good condition and moved from University Medical Center Brackenridge hospital to a rehabilitation facility.
The well-known Austinite is now in Central Texas Rehab, a partner of Seton hospitals and their preferred rehab provider.
He was admitted to the rehab facility located at Seton Hospital on 38th Street late Friday afternoon.
Central Texas Rehab provides general physical, occupational, and speech therapies plus nursinig care. Many of their patients come in after traumatic injuries.
Leslie fell on October 3 and was rushed to the University Medical Center Brackenridge. EMS officials were called after he fell next to a taxi.
EMS officials said an ambulance was called to the scene after a witness saw Leslie acting oddly on the sidewalk. The call came in around 12:50 a.m. on Oct. 3. Leslie then fell in front of a taxi. When EMS arrived on the scene, medics say he was already unconscious.
On Wednesday supporters held a vigil for Leslie outside the hospital.
