AUSTIN(KXAN) - The 2nd ranked Longhorns insist they will be just as fired up for Saturday mornings game with Central Florida (5-3) than their previous eight. Texas cleared a big hurdle in their quest to get to the Big 12 title game and beyond with their win over Oklahoma State. Now the challenge to to re-focus for a non conference opponent after three emotional wins away from home.
"We've challenged our guys that if you're going to be a great team that goes undefeated, you have to be a team thats excited to play every week and thats hard to do," said head coach Mack Brown. "But thats part of the magic to having a great team, you have to be able to do that, you've got to be able to get rid of Oklahoma State today(Monday) and you've got to be ready to start for Central Florida today. If you can't do that then you're not one of the best teams in the country. Thats our challenge to our fans, our coaches, to me and to the players."
The Central Florida game was switched with the Texas Tech game to accommodate television requests.
Brown said that cornerback Aaron Williams is day to day after missing most of the Oklahoma State game with a knee injury. Cody Johnson is now listed as a starter at running back.
UT's game at Baylor has been set for an 11AM kick in Waco on November 14th.
