Vista Ridge back in regional finals

Cedar Park, Tex(KXAN) - The Vista Ridge softball team is back in the regional finals, but its a different regional this year.  The Rangers are in the 5A finals against Klein Sping after losing in the 4A regional finals the last two years.

"We got it taken from us last year so that makes us want it so much more this year," said junior pitcher Nikki Hendriks.  "We know how it feels to lose and for once we want to see how good it feels to make it to state and thats what we're going for."

It all comes down to one game against Spring on Thursday in College Station for a trip to the state tournament.

"Just to be part of that is such a unique experience and I just would love so much to see these kids do it," said Vista Ridge coach Robin Brady.  "It would be special to me, but whats more special to me is the reactions and the looks on the girls faces when they make that step."
