Deadly wreck in Leander on 2243

LEANDER, TEXAS (KXAN) - The Leander Police Department is working the scene of an accident that has turned fatal. The accident occurred on Ranch Road 2243, in the area of Hwy 183, after 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

Information is limited regarding the cause of accident and the number of individuals killed. Leander Police confirmed to KXAN on the scene that the accident was fatal, but would not provide comment beyond that.

A car landed sideway in a ditch, and firefighters are on scene to assist. More details will be provided as information is available.
