PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) - A man who placed a Craigslist ad to sell a cellphone is robbed at gun point.
The victim, Muhammad Dawoodally, placed an ad on Craigslist to sell an extra cellphone. The meeting between the victim and the intended buyer took place on Saturday, September 26, at 11PM at a service station near 1401 Grand Avenue Parkway in Pflugerville.
While the victim was negotiating the sale with the suspect, two additional men emerged from the shadows, one with a gun.
Pflugerville police said that the gun turned out to be a BB gun.
The suspects took Dawoodally's cell phone, plus his personal cellphone. They also attempted to grab his car keys but Dawoodally resisted.
Two males fled on foot, two others fled in the car. Dawoodally gave chase but stopped to call 9-1-1.
Pflugerville police responded and arrested four men after spotting the described vehicle nearby. Darnell Harper and Raymond Selby were arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. The other two men taken into custody are juveniles.
