AUSTIN (KXAN) - An Austin man was arrested last week on charges of possessing child porn.

Police said Nicholas Vincent Glaze, 26, kept more than 170 pictures and videos of children as young as infancy being sexually assaulted or portrayed in sexual scenarios.

According to the arrest warrant, police went to Glaze's apartment on Red River last Tuesday in response to a disturbance call. A man who had been staying with the accused said he and Glaze were taking methamphetamines and GHB.

The informant said he feared Glaze would attack him with a knife. He also told police Glaze was viewing child pornography on his laptop computer and talking about kidnapping and killing a child.

Officers searched the apartment with Glaze's permission and assistance. Police said Glaze confessed to possessing and viewing the child pornography.

Glaze was released Sunday on a $30,000 bond. If convicted of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony, he faces between two- to 10 years in prison.
