FORT HOOD, Texas (KXAN) - Fort Hood officials have released the name of a soldier who died from injuries suffered from a motorcycle accident Oct. 21. He was pronounced deceased by doctors at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at 2:45 p.m.
Spc. Timothy Laurence Singletary, 37, whose home of record is listed as Dover Township, N.J., entered the military in January 2003 as a track vehicle repairer. He was assigned to the 115th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood since August 2008.
Singletary deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from October 2003 to July 2004, November 2005 to November 2006 and February 2009 to February 2010.
Singletary's awards and decorations include two Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medal, two Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with three Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, three Overseas Service Ribbons and the Driver and Mechanic Badge.
