CAMP LEATHERNECK, Afghanistan (KXAN) - While troops are overseas right now, the Super Bowl is still a welcome distraction for those serving.

U.S. Marine Corps sGT. Rosa Quintero is one of those deployed who can't wait to take a break from her duties and relax with the biggest sporting event of the year for Americans.

"I just wanted to give a shoutout to everyone in Austin, Texas," said Quintero. "Cowboys didn't get to play this year, but I hope we still have a good game."

To nominate a military member for the KXAN Austin Salutes segment, send information about the military member as listed here and send it via email.
