FORT HOOD, Texas (KXAN) - Churches across the Ft. Hood/Killeen area are planning for military masses on Sunday. Pastors at several denominations tell Austin News they have been fielding calls about special services related to the Ft. Hood shootings.

The pastor at Memorial Baptist Church in Killeen said 75% of the congregation there is active military and their families. The church had a special prayer service on the night of the shootings, but the majority of the congregation was still in lock down at the post. The church is expecting an overflow at its morning services, where it will observe a moment of silence for the fallen. Part of the pastor's message will also reference the shootings.

A military chaplain told Austin News there will be multiple services at the post, starting at 11 a.m. Attendees should come early, as there could be delays getting through check points.

Gov. Rick Perry is also expected to speak at a special prayer service regarding the shootings at First Baptist Church in Killeen. The service begins at 5 p.m. Perry's portion is planned for 5:50 p.m.

For questions regarding other specific services, call individual churches Sunday morning.
