WASHINGTON (AP) - The accused Fort Hood shooter may have attended the same Virginia mosque as two Sept. 11 hijackers in 2001, at a time when a radical imam preached there.

A law enforcement official said whether the suspect associated with the hijackers is something the FBI will probably look into.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

The outreach director at the Dar al Hijrah Islamic Center said he doesn't know whether Nidal Malik Hasan ever attended the mosque, but he confirmed that the Hasan family has participated in services there.

The mosque in Falls Church, Va. is one of the largest on the East Coast. Thousands of worshippers attend prayers and services there every week.

The London Telegraph first reported the potential link between Hasan and the mosque.
